Your Trip - Thornybush Private Game Reserve

Adjacent to Kruger National Park lies Thornybush Game Reserve, consisting of 11,500 hectares of pristine African bushveld and boasting an abundance of bird and animal species, including the Big Five. There are five exclusive safari lodges: The three 4* lodges include N’Kaya Lodge with four air-conditioned thatched suites, lodge pool and boma; Chapungu Tented Camp offering eight air-conditioned tented suites, lodge pool, gift shop and boma; and Serondella Game Lodge which has four airconditioned suites, lodge pool, gift shop, boma and elevated viewing hides. The two 5* lodges include Thornybush Game Lodge which offers 20 luxury air-conditioned suites with in and outdoor showers, lodge pool, spa, library, boma and curio shop; and Shumbalala with fi ve suites, private viewing deck, outdoor shower, lodge pool, curio shop and wine cellar.

Getting There: Daily flights operate from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit, and then a road transfer to the lodge;
charter flights can be organised directly into the reserve; or by self drive.

Activities: Two game drives and a game walk are included each day. Game drives are in open Land Rovers accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers, at dawn and dusk.
